Religion and ethics

NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.

Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.

Special religious education (SRE) at Liverpool Public School

At Liverpool Public School, SRE is delivered on Fridays.

Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 classes are scheduled from 9:05am to 9:35am.

Year 3 and Year 4 classes are scheduled from 10:15am to 10:45am.

Year 5 and Year 6 classes are scheduled from 9:40am to 10:10am.

On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE participation letter (PDF 213KB) to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to the school office in writing.

Classes at Liverpool Public School – 2020 

At the end of each year, Liverpool Public School confirms with SRE providers the availability of SRE teachers for the following year.

Based on SRE teacher availability, the following SRE classes are offered at Liverpool Public School in 2020:

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities such as reading, private study or completing homework.
