Learning from home

Liverpool Public School continues to operate as a Level 4 Plus school. Parents and carers must keep children at home unless they need to be at school.

Term 4 arrangements

Students will continue learning from home until Liverpool LGA is removed as an area of concern.

Liverpool Public School is operating under Level 4 Plus restrictions.

Further information regarding the roadmap to return to face-to-face learning will be shared closer to the dates of return.

Minimal staff onsite

In line with public health orders, the majority of staff are working from home.

There are minimal staff working on-site at Liverpool Public School.

The school office is closed to enquiries in person.

Parents and carers must use telephone or email to contact the school.

Please see the contact information section for more detail on how to contact the school, including the use of the telephone interpreter service.

Learning from home arrangements

Liverpool Public School continues to use a single method of teaching.

All staff will be using a combination of Google Classroom and Zoom to support learning from home.

Students will also use online learning platforms to supplement their learning.

It is easiest to access learning from home if students are able to use a desktop computer or laptop.

Booklets are available for students without access to technology. Please contact the front office by telephone or email to arrange a copy to be sent to you. Booklets can not be collected from the school.

Stationery packs for each student were available to collect from the school. If you still require a stationery pack, please contact the front office by telephone or email and we will send what we can to you. Stationery packs can not be collected from the school.

Online learning platforms

To support student learning from home, we are using a combination of the following platforms:

Students should know their usernames and passwords. These were sent home with their learning from home booklets in Week 1. If your child does not remember their username or password, please email the school.

We may also use telephone and text messaging to contact students and their families.

Zoom sessions

Staff will be opening a Zoom room each day for students to ask questions and get feedback on their learning. There will also be dedicated lesson times throughout the day.

Students can access their class Zoom room using the password protected links shared by their teacher. The link is found in the student’s Google Classroom or on the information sheet that was sent home with the learning from home booklets.

Students must log into Zoom using their Department of Education details.

Visit the Zoom room timetable page of our website for information on when live sessions are scheduled for each grade.
