English as a second language staff (EALD)
EALD teachers play a vital role in supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. They work closely with classroom teachers to help students develop their English language proficiency across all learning areas, enabling them to fully access the curriculum and achieve academic success.
EALD teachers provide targeted instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while also fostering students’ confidence and participation in school life. They use inclusive, culturally responsive strategies to meet the unique language learning needs of each student, ensuring a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all.
